Placing the Cabinet Configurators

Because these cabinets will all be 28” high, I opened the Configurator, and used the form to set the height of the configurator at 28” to set it as the current default height. This just saves a bit of time later, but I need to go back and reset the default to my normal cabinet height, otherwise normal cabinets will be too short, and will need to be configured every time they are placed.

To start the placement, click on the Assemble tab, click the drop-down arrow on the Place command to get to the Place iLogic Component command. All of the configurators should be within the Configurators folder. The names of the configurators and their respective folders may change over time, but currently the one I am looking for is called Base – 3 Drawer. So all I need to do is double click on the Configurators folder, then double click the  Base – 3 Drawer folder, then double click the Base – 3 Drawer Configurator

This is what you see. You can make adjustments using the placement form, but it updates the model after every entry. The Form (control dialog) for the configurators allow you to enter all of your changes, then click apply, so we will just click the OK button to place the configurator…

In this case, I had to zoom out a bit to see the cabinet I was placing because it was below the floor. Once it was visible as seen below, I clicked to place it, then hit the ESC key to end the command…

Only place one cabinet, then repeat the process. If you place multiple cabinets, they will be identical, and you will not be able to configure them separately. I placed five cabinets total to include the ones for the other desk as well. Make sure you use the Place iLogic Component command every time –not the normal Place command (as of this writing, the command reverts back to the normal Place after each placement)…
