The four frame members must be extruded individually to create separate solid bodies, we will begin with the lower rail. Select the Extrude command from the Create panel, and select the lower rail profile as shown below…
The Extrude dialog box will appear as soon as you click on the profile, and because this is the first extrusion in this part, the default settings will be present. In the Extents drop down list, choose To…
…after changing the extents to select the point at the upper left corner of the left stile as shown in the image above…
The preview of the extrusion will snap to the point, and you can click OK to accept the extrusion. Now go to the browser and expand the newly created Solid Bodies folder, and rename Solid1 to Lower_Rail. Rename Extrusion1 to LowerRailExt, and expand the extrusion to expose it’s consumed sketch geometry. Right click on the Rails Profile and turn the visibility back on.
